Does the Arc4life Traction Pillow Work After a Fusion Surgery...Not Always

Posted by N Gil on

1/5  Not for me

First day felt fantastic! Crippling after that. Extremely disappointing. I have been looking for a comfortable pillow for 8 months after my fusion, hoping this was it, sad to say it was not for me. May work for someone else, but increased my pain. - Tausha, July 2019
Tausha, thank you for your feedback. 8 months after a fusion type of surgery, this may not be the right pillow for you. You should not be putting extension into your neck. On top of that, this is the EXTRA FIRM version of our arc4life traction pillow. Also not recommended for first time customers.
Please ask your orthopedic Dr for recommendations for the right type of pillow to use post fusion surgery. My guess is a memory foam pillow (one that can accommodate to your cervical spine) might be better 8 months after a fusion surgery.
With that being said, we do have a lot of customers who purchase our pillow a few years out, after fusion surgery. They do very well the pillow (we usually recommend the standard regular support, not the extra firm).
